How many test cassettes should I order?
Simply put, order one for each floor of your home or for every 1000 square feet of space you are testing, plus one for the outside control sample. For greater accuracy, if you have an area of concern (complaint area) on a given floor it is recommended that you test in both that area as well as a non-compliant area.
Example: 2 story 2000 square foot home with a musty odor coming from near the upstairs bathroom. Take one test in the bathroom, one upstairs*, one downstairs* and one outside**

The Only True Toxic Mold Test on the Market
Due to the ubiquity of mold and the absence of known threshold limit values IAQ testing for mold is conducted around the principle of comparative analysis. The results from the outside control or baseline sample are compared against the results from the indoor air samples.
When an elevated level of mold spores are found indoors as compared to the outside control, or a species of mold such as stachybotrys or aspergillus, is found in a high concentration relative to the baseline sample one can conclusively determine whether or not the subject environment has existing mold contamination.
